Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. This type of massage is great for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness and sore shoulders.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is a deep tissue massage that incorporates a variety of modalities that enhance the body’s natural restorative functioning. This type of massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for areas of the body that are chronically tense and contracted, neck, low back and shoulders.

Swedish Massage

A Swedish Massage is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing muscles in long, gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. The technique aims to promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension. Swedish massage helps to increase blood flow and lymph drainage. This is a more relaxing therapy than a Therapeutic Massage.

Sports Recovery and Injury Massage

A Sports Recovery Massage is geared towards athletes and people who live an active lifestyle. This massage is focused on treating soft tissue aches, pain and injuries associated with recreational activities. A Sports Massage can improve your recovery time and take your game to the next level.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy taps into the body’s internal web of muscles to unlock common chronic and injury related pains caused by tension and stress. Continuous movement can irritate the tissue and over time this can lead to the development of trigger points. Trigger Point Therapy helps reduce pain, relieve tension and promote a better range of motion. Great for unlocking an area of the body and to increase circulation and help muscles regain full function.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage is designed to nurture the mother-to-be. Modifications are made during this type of massage. Instead of lying face down, you will be on your side or in a semi reclined position. This avoids putting pressure on your abdomen and disrupting blood flow. The therapist will avoid using deep pressure on your abdomen and legs. This massage will leave the mom-to-be feeling calm and centered.

Geriatric Massage (Senior Massage)

Geriatric Massage is based on the principle of tailoring basic massage techniques to meet the needs of seniors. Modifications are made to accommodate the specific needs of the client, such as gentler hand motions, passive movement of leg, foot and shoulder joints and occasional use of stronger movements. Immediate benefits include decreasing stiffness in the body and reducing inflammation.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage uses gentle pressure and stretching techniques to relax the whole body. Thai Massages are done on a padded mat laid out on the floor. The therapist will use thumbs, knuckles, feet and elbows to push at pressure points to encourage energy flows.

**Massage Cupping Therapy

Massage Cupping Therapy is an adaption of the ancient Chinese technique for the purpose of promoting health and healing by loosening soft tissue and connective tissue and increasing water absorption and blood circulation to undernourished and dehydrated tissue. Small glass or silicone cups are placed on the skin. A vacuum pistol helps to create suction. The cups can be moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques.

**Hot Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage uses heated stones in various sizes to gently run across the body in a soothing rhythmic flow to melt away stress while relieving tense muscles and sore joints.

**Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy Massage is a Swedish Massage Therapy using oil or lotion that contains highly concentrated plant oils. The Massage Therapist will select the blend based on your unique condition or health goals. Aromatherapy Massage is thought to promote beneficial changes in your mind and body by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to be involved in emotion.
